Good question….not! What does it say about the former Coburg High site? Nothing from what I can see. Well it says that the owners of the Pentridge site want to building some apartments….so what?
Wasn’t the issue of the Coburg housing market dealt with in another one of your forums?
Just linking, as requested by other posters, to the cold hard facts of the Pentridge development and how it renders the proposed apratments at CHS as unmarketable. PS - please feel free to reveal your identity

My guess it is an ALP hack who works in the office of Carlo Carli the local member for Brunswick. His name is Chris Andersen and he is a constant attacker of me as I am in the local Greens and the whole CHS shczmozelll (hows that for spelling)is a result of th eALP Council acting very improperly. But I would not put it past Mayor Mark O’Brien either who spends much o fhis day loitering on computers in Federal member Kelvin Thomson’s deathly dull office. I ride past it each day and the Mayor is constantly there advancing his claims as the next member of Wills.

It is sad how the internet brings out people like SB - I cant see the humour in the state of Coburg High School - I drive past it everyday to work and am amazed at the state of the old school.

Never once have I said that the state of the CHS is good. But I do question the obviously left wing conspiracy theories of Nimby’s like Peter.
Peter will say it never should have been sold in the first place. Maybe not, but we are a little past that point.
Peter will say the developers should never have been granted a permit…but how would that improve things?
What is needed is some sort of incentive to encourage the land owner to either put up or shut up. One option is to create a different rating scheme where by the land owner is rated into action either selling or developing.
